Sunshine And Hot On Thursday Across Eastern North Carolina

High pressure off the East Coast continues to funnel unseasonably warm air into eastern North Carolina. Highs will soar into the lower 90s inland and upper 70s to lower 80s on the beaches Thursday afternoon. Only isolated thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and evening. The heat will continue through Saturday with highs near 90° each day. A cold front will push through the area Sunday allowing cooler air to invade the area.
