High pressure centered off the East Coast will continue to pump unseasonably warm air into eastern North Carolina into the weekend. Highs will reach the upper 80s Wednesday and 90° Thursday through Saturday. There will be lots of sunshine with only a stray thunderstorm most afternoons. Overnight lows will dip into the 60s. Southwesterly winds will blow around 7 to 15 mph during the day but will decrease less than 10 mph at night.
