Finally Drying Out For Independence Day

The atmosphere will slowly dry out after many days of moderate to heavy rainfall across the area. The building Bermuda Ridge will take control of our weather pattern for the next several days. We will see more sunshine with only a stray shower or storm as we head into the weekend. Highs will hit the upper 80s on Independence Day and lower 90s Friday through the weekend. Heat indices will approach 100 degrees during the afternoons. Overnight lows will bottom out in the 70s.

The beaches look generally sunny with only a slight risk of a mainly morning or early afternoon shower. Highs will reach the lower to middle 80s. Winds will remain southerly at 10 to 15 knots for the next few days.
