Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s to near 60°. A southwesterly breeze will pull warm air in to the region, however it won't last long.
A strong cold front will move across the region Tuesday afternoon, bringing icy temperatures overnight on Tuesday with a chance for a few snowflakes from sunset Tuesday through midnight. If we see any accumulations, it won't be more than a dusting, but so far this season, this is the most favorable set up for snow we've seen. With much colder air moving in after sunset we may see some slick spots developing on roadways Tuesday evening.
Skies will turn mostly sunny for the remainder of the week with temperatures staying cold during the day with highs in the 30s and overnights in the 20s to upper teens.
