A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
There will be lots of sunshine along with chilly temperatures on Wednesday. Afternoon highs will hit the middle 50s in most communities. Overnight lows for the next few nights will bottom out near freezing. A slow warming trend will begin late in the week and extend through Easter Weekend. Upper 50s are likely by Friday with lower to middle 60s expected over the weekend. Weather conditions will remain dry through Saturday but a few showers could develop by late Easter Sunday.
