Sunny Sunday With Cold Temperatures

Sunday will be, appropriately, a sunny day. However, the plentiful sunshine won't be able to get our high temperatures passed the 50° mark. Most of eastern Carolina will see highs in the upper 40s, making it chillier than what we've been used to this winter.

Winds will be a bit stronger out of the northwest. Locations inland will be dealing with 10-15mph conditions, while coastal areas will have a 15-20mph wind most of the afternoon and early evening.

Overnight temperatures will fall all the way to the mid 20s as skies will remain clear. We will start a warming trend New Year's Eve night, but until then, expect chilly temperatures. A calm wind is expected for Monday morning, but even the weakest breeze will make it feel like the low 20s/upper teens with the wind chill.
