A warming trend will begin across eastern Carolina on Friday. Afternoon highs should close in on 60 degrees by the afternoon under sunny skies. By Saturday afternoon we could see highs approach 70 under partly cloudy skies.
Changes will come Sunday into Monday as a storm approaches from the west. Rain will become likely by Sunday afternoon, continuing Sunday night into St. Patrick's Day. Temps will cool back down with the rain. Highs in the upper 50s Sunday will dip to the upper 40s on Monday.
