High pressure will slide south of North Carolina on Tuesday allowing warmer a warmer southwest breeze to take over. Temperatures will be climbing with afternoon highs in the upper 80s. Skies will remain mostly sunny throughout the day.
Summer like conditions will stay locked in throughout the week and into the weekend with highs near 90° and plenty of humidity building in. A weak cold front will move into the area on Thursday bringing a chance for scattered showers and storms. Otherwise, we should stay generally dry into the weekend under partly cloudy skies.
