Eastern Carolina is finally getting a reprieve from the soggy summer of 2012. A cold front swept off the coast Sunday ushering in drier and cooler air that continued into Monday. Early morning lows on Tuesday will dip into the 50s by sunrise. Nice weather conditions will continue Tuesday afternoon with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to around 80°. Surf conditions along the North Carolina beaches will gradually return to normal as Tropical Storm Leslie moves farther away from the East Coast. Sunshine and warmer conditions will develop for the latter portion of the week.
