High pressure across the Midwest will push southeast across eastern Carolina on Thursday. The high pressure will be associated with below normal temperatures.
Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 40s Thursday under mainly sunny skies. Winds may be a bit breezy during the morning and early afternoon but should relax later in the day. Temperatures will drop into the lower to middle 20s early Friday, rebounding to near 50° Friday afternoon.
The chill will last through Friday with warming temperatures for Saturday and the threat for rain by the afternoon hours.
