Dupiln, Greene, Lenoir, Martin and Pitt counties will be under a freezing rain advisory from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. Beaufort, Craven, Jones and Washington counties will be under the advisory from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Temperatures will quickly reflect a passing front as highs on Sunday will struggle into the 50s, Breezy conditions will also make it feel much cooler with a northerly wind blowing 15 to 20mph this afternoon. A few showers will be possible late in the day, but no severe weather is expected. Rainfall totals from today's system will be less that 0.25"
The week ahead will be warmer and drier. Highs to start the week will be in the mid 60s before eventually flirting with the 80 degree mark on Wednesday and Thursday. The next chance of rain will be on Friday (40%).
