A Few Showers But Gradually Drying Out Across Eastern Carolina

Showers continued across eastern Carolina on Tuesday with locally heavy rainfall in southern sections. The long bout of wet conditions will slowly come to an end during the midweek. By Wednesday afternoon and Thursday we should see an increasing amount of sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the middle 80s Wednesday and Thursday then close to to 90° for Friday and the weekend. Only a stray shower or two is expected for the weekend. The remnants of Hurricane Isaac should stay west and north of eastern Carolina.
