Scattered showers continued across eastern Carolina Wednesday but a cold front will finally push through the coastal area and offshore on Thursday followed by clearing skies. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 60s then rebound into the lower to middle 80s Thursday afternoon as sunshine increases. Dry and warm conditions will continue through Saturday ahead of a strong cold front that will arrive by Sunday evening. Highs both Friday and Saturday will average in the lower to middle 80s.
