Scattered Storms Across Eastern Carolina On Thursday

An approaching cold front and trough of low pressure will bring a better chance for showers and thunderstorms across eastern North Carolina on Thursday. Inland areas will be favored in the afternoon while coastal communities will have a better chance in the evening. Highs will be in the upper 80s in most locations. Heat index values will be in the 90s much of the afternoon. There will be 30% to 40% risk of showers each day into the weekend.
