Trees Down, Funnel Clouds Spotted Friday

The National Weather Service lists several storm reports.

At about 3:30 p.m. Friday, there was a report of a funnel cloud near Mackeys in Washington County. There was also a report around 5 p.m. of a tornado on the ground just southwest of Elizabeth City. There are no reports of damage.

A report from Nash County indicates a tree is down on a house on Boddie Street in Nashville. It happened as a strong storm moved through just after 5:00 p.m.

There are reports of numerous trees knocked down by strong winds across Nash County between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Several trees were knocked down by strong winds in the White Oak neighborhood one mile east of Glenview in Halifax County just before 6 p.m.
