Record Breaking Heat Possible Monday

Another potential record breaking day of heat is in store for eastern Carolina to kick off the work week. The record max temperature of 74°, set in 2007, will be put to the test Monday as forecasted highs range from 71° to 75°.

This will be the third day in a row we've been in the record breaking temperature range. Saturday, we broke the previous 74° (2006) record with 76° and Sunday we came within a degree of matching the 78° record set in 2005.
