Rain Starting To Taper Off

Tuesday's are making an exit as we move through the afternoon hours. The showers that have swept across the region are moving off the coast. There are still a few light bands of rain west of I-95 that will be giving us a couple more sprinkles this evening, but for the most part the heavy stuff has moved on.

As the sun sets, the skies will slowly start to clear, allowing for some star gazing later on tonight. We'll wake up to sunshine and blue skies Wednesday, which will carry over to Thursday. Temperatures will be a tad bit cooler than the upper 50s most of us enjoyed today. Expect highs in the low 50s for the majority of eastern Carolina communities.
