An area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast on Tuesday will spread rain across the area by late morning and afternoon. A stray snowflake may be mixed with the rain for a brief time well inland and north at the onset of the precipitation.
Temperatures will reach near 50 degrees before dropping during the late afternoon hours. All precipitation will end by the evening hours followed by clearing skies Tuesday night.
Sunny, windy and cold conditions can be expected on Wednesday with highs only reaching the mid 40s.
