High pressure off the Middle Atlantic Coast will bring warm southerly winds to eastern Carolina on Tuesday. Afternoon highs will reach the middle 80s inland and upper 70s on the beaches. There could be a stray shower during the afternoon but nothing significant is expected. Even warmer conditions will develop by Wednesday and latter portion of the week. Afternoon highs will be close to 90° each day Thursday through the weekend. Mostly sunny skies can be expected each afternoon into the weekend.
