The National Weather Service declared the 2 year weather phenomenon known as La Nina is finished, and that's good news for us here in the east.
La Nina typically triggers drought in the southern part of the country and creates more hurricane activity in the Atlantic Ocean during the summer. La Nina is caused by the cooling of the central pacific ocean.
