New launch time is 8:15 p.m. EST
NASA is set to launch a rocket, carrying a record 29 satellites, Tuesday night from Wallops Island, VA. One of the satellites has been developed and built by students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. The main mission for the rocket is to launch a number of satellite systems to test the space environment in order to decrease costs and increase longevity of future satellites.
The launch window is set for 7:30-9:15 pm tonight with the launch time planned for 7:30 pm. To catch a glimpse of the rocket on its way out of the atmosphere, look north-northeast. There is also a live stream of the launch here:
