Muggy With Showers On Friday Across Eastern Carolina

A stationary front just off the North Carolina coast combined with warm and moist air to produce scattered showers on Thursday. Coastal communities received the most rainfall. A weak area of low pressure will form along the coast on Friday causing more showers to form. The best chance for rain will be near the coast but any place east of Interstate 95 has a decent chance for a shower. Afternoon highs will stay below normal due to the clouds and showers. Lower 80s can be expected in most locations. Drier air will gradually move into the area over the weekend bringing less shower activity and slightly warmer temperatures.
