Morning Thunderstorms, More Rain This Afternoon

Monday will be very similar to Sunday with hot and humid conditions expected.

Temperatures will soar to near 90° once again with the heat index approaching 100°.

The heat and humidity will interact with the sea breeze along with a front to the north which will produce showers and storms.

The main threats with any storms that do form will be locally heavy downpours and gusty winds.

The overall severe threat is minimal but a few of the storms could briefly become severe with hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.

Any storms that do form will gradually weaken during the evening with loss of heating.

Have a great Labor Day.
