More Heat With A Risk Of Thunderstorms Tuesday Across Eastern North Carolina

Monday was a cooler and much quieter day across eastern Carolina. It appears the heat will build once again as we head into Independence Day. Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will soar into the middle 90s with heat indices of 100° to 103°. The air will become more unstable by late Tuesday giving the area a better chance for storms. The storm chance will linger into Thursday with about a 30% to 40% risk each afternoon and evening.
