A winter weather advisory has been issued for all of eastern Carolina except Carteret, Onslow, and Duplin counties through 4am Friday. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible.
The trend of afternoon storms will continue through Monday, with a few strong storms possible. There is a chance a couple of the strong storms could make their way up to severe status, but it's an outside chance at this point.
With the already saturated grounds and more rain coming today, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for counties along and west of I-95 as well as counties north of highway 64. Be careful on the roadways this afternoon as a few of the storms could push water over the road. Remember: Turn Around....Don't Drown.
