After a rainy start for parts of the East this morning, most scattered showers will continue to develop later today. While the threat of rain will be in the forecast, severe weather is not anticipated with today's system. Rainfall totals will remain under an inch.
A slow-moving cold front will push into eastern Carolina on Saturday bringing clouds and showers to the area. The front will become nearly stationary near the coast causing a continuation of the unsettled weather into the early portion of next week. Highs will reach the upper 70s Saturday afternoon as the front crosses the area. Highs on Sunday should top out in the middle 70s.
