A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
While viewing conditions won't be ideal, I'm still planning on setting the alarm this evening. Hopefully, we'll catch a break and the clouds will thin for a brief moment.
