On and off quick downpours will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Heavier rain could bring another 1 to 3 inches of rain to a few locations late Sunday and into Monday afternoon.
High pressure will be parked over eastern Carolina early Friday providing ideal conditions for cold temperatures. The high pressure will move offshore Friday afternoon allowing warmer air to return with light southwesterly winds. Afternoon highs will reach the upper 40s to lower 50s under mostly sunny skies.
Clouds will increase Friday night followed by periods of rain on Saturday, especially after lunchtime. Temperatures will warm to near 60°despite the rain on Saturday. Clearing skies with highs in the 50s can be expected by Sunday.
