A cold front will stall across the area through Friday. Numerous showers and storms are likely in the vicinity of the front. Like Thursday, some of the rainfall will be heavy at times. Another 1 to 2 inches of rain can be expected across the region, with some higher totals along and east of highway 17. The severe threat will remain low although a strong thunderstorm can't be ruled out.
The increased cloud cover and rain will lower afternoon temperatures into the middle 80s on Friday afternoon.
We should see more sunshine and less shower activity as we go into the weekend. Afternoon highs will be near 90 degrees.
