Eastern Carolina Can't Shake The Ice

Few locations have warmed enough to start melting the ice away, and even in those communities, it has stayed cold enough to keep most of the ice around through Saturday. Skies have remained cloudy throughout the day, keep highs down near the mid 30s. We are expecting the ice to stay with us until Sunday afternoon. Skies will slowly clear Sunday, allowing for enough sun to warm the surface and melt away what ever ice is left. Highs will be in the low 40s.

A taste of Spring is in the forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs return to the upper 60s and a few locations may even hit the 70° mark. The next cold front is set to come through Wednesday night. There will be a slight chance of rain with temperatures cooling to the upper 50s by Thursday.
