Hot And Humid With A Few Storms Across Eastern Carolina On Friday

It will be another hot and humid day across eastern North Carolina on Friday. Highs will be close to 90 degrees in most locations. A few thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon and evening as the atmosphere becomes more unstable ahead of a cold front approaching from Virginia. The front will stall near the Virginia border by Saturday causing additional showers and storms as we head into the weekend. An average of 1 to 2 inches of rain can be expected between Friday and Sunday. There will be locally heavier amounts.
