Monday will be warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s and a heat index in the 90s.

The heat and humidity will help to produce afternoon and evening thunderstorms across portions of our area.

Although no severe weather outbreak is expected there will be the chance for a few of the storms to become severe late in the day and into the evening.

The main threat with any storm that does form will be strong winds, torrential downpours, hail, and frequent lightning.

Not all areas will receive rain but about 40% in coverage is expected.

Have a great week.
