Freezing Conditions Lead To Black Ice

Temperatures have already dipped well below freezing here in eastern Carolina. They will continue their downward trend tonight before bottoming out early Monday morning. Any moisture left on the roads from the snow melt earlier today will turn to black ice, creating hazardous driving conditions.

Monday's temperatures will be much warmer than they were Sunday, with highs expected in the upper 40s. This will eliminate any snow left over from this weekend. We continue to warm up on Tuesday, hitting the 60° in many eastern Carolina communities. The warm temperatures of Tuesday will come with rain, so it won't be as spring like as some may want.
