Freeze Warning Overnight For Portions Of North Carolina

A Freeze Warning has been issued for several counties across eastern Carolina overnight. Temperatures will drop into the lower 30s in most communities inland from the coast. The warning was issued for counties along and just east of Highway 17. Sheltered locations will be susceptible to frost as winds diminish during the evening. There is a potential for a couple of hours of freezing temperatures. The counties under the warning include:
Washington, Tyrrell, Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Jones, Craven, Pamlico and Onslow. The warning is in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 am.
