Feeling Like Summer

With high pressure in place sunny skies are helping to drive temperatures to near record levels.

High temperatures today and Friday will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s with a few areas potentially setting records.

Old record highs for Thursday are:
Washington: 96°
Williamston: 93°
New Bern: 95°
Kinston: 96°
Greenville: 91°

Old record highs for Friday are:
Washington: 94°
Williamston: 92°
New Bern: 90°

Although our afternoon temperatures will remain just below these records it will be very warm with temperatures a solid 10-15° above average.

Over the weekend our high temperatures will fall back into the 80s.

No significant rainfall is in the forecast but each afternoon a few isolated thunderstorms are possible.
