There were reports of water about 10 inches deep at the intersection of Highways 264 and 17 in Washington about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Many other roadways in the city were also impacted, like the intersection of Highway 17 and Third Street, seen in the picture on this story.
Drivers were forced to go slowly, about 20 miles per hour, because of the heavy rains and flooded areas of Highway 17 between Washington and Chocowinity after 6 p.m.
