Sunny, But Cold On Thursday

Frigid temps in the mid teens sunrise Thursday will climb to the mid to upper 30s by the afternoon hours under sunny skies. Winds at 10 to 15 mph will keep wind chills in the 20s to low 30s.

Skies will stay mostly sunny through the weekend with temperatures remaining quite chilly. Highs will only make it into the upper 20s on Friday, climbing into the 40s over the weekend.

One to two inches of snow fell Tuesday night in Eastern Carolina, generally along and north of highway 264 with a dusting to 1/2 inch southward across the rest of our area. Some of snow melted on Wednesday with further melting expected on Thursday.
