An area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast will maintain a moist north to northeasterly flow of air off the ocean through Wednesday. Temperatures will remain mild with afternoon highs in the middle 70s. We may see a few peeks of sunshine during the afternoon but most of the day will stay cloudy. The low should move to the northeast by Thursday allowing more sunshine to reach the area. Another cold front will arrive Thursday Night giving the area a slight risk of showers. A stronger cold front will reach eastern Carolina by Saturday night or early Sunday bringing another risk for showers for the weekend. Next week looks mostly sunny.
