A fast moving jet stream over our region will keep a few high, thin clouds over us into the first day of the New Year. New Year's Eve highs will be in the low to mid 50s.
Many locations will fall to near freezing Tuesday night before rebounding into the middle 50s New Year's afternoon. Clouds will thicken late in the day with more rain moving in on Thursday.
Temperatures will reach the upper 50s Thursday before much colder air rolls in on Friday. Friday afternoon highs will only reach the upper 30s with a stiff north wind keeping wind chills in the 20s at times through the day.
