An area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast has maintained a moist northeasterly flow across the region for the past several days. The storm will finally push to the northeast over the next 48 hours taking most of the clouds with it. We should keep cloud cover most of today with off and on mist or drizzle. Highs will be in the lower 70s. Some sunshine is expected to break through midweek with temperatures hitting the middle to upper 70s Wednesday and Thursday. There is little threat for significant rain as only mist or drizzle is likely into Tuesday evening.
