Clouds And Chilly For Election Day Across Eastern Carolina

Chilly air has settled into eastern Carolina and will remain across the area into midweek. A storm system will develop off our coast Tuesday night and could bring some rain and gusty winds to the area. The heaviest rainfall will stay along the coast or just offshore. Highs will be in the lower 50s on Tuesday afternoon. The storm will move to our north by Wednesday ending the rain across the area. Improving weather conditions can be expected for the latter part of the week.
