A cold front will push off the North Carolina coast by sunriseThursday followed by clouds and the risk for a few showers. Temperatures will generally be in the low to middle 80s Thursday afternoon. Scattered showers will follow the front and may linger into the late afternoon. Drier air will gradually move into the area Thursday night as skies become mostly clear. Friday and Saturday will feature lots of sunshine with highs in the upper 80s. Only a stray shower or two is expected.
