On and off quick downpours will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Heavier rain could bring another 1 to 3 inches of rain to a few locations late Sunday and into Monday afternoon.
A high pressure system to the northwest will keep our skies clear and sunny on Saturday, allowing for an increase in high temps across the area. Highs will be in the mid 60s for inland communities while remaining a bit cooler on the coast (upper 50s). There will be an increase to the mid 70s by Sunday, with plenty of sunshine in store for eastern Carolina.
The 80s will return to the forecast by the start of the workweek. Monday through Friday all have the potential to register temperatures around 80°.
