Breezy And Warmer On Thursday Across Eastern North Carolina

A strong surge of warm air will move into eastern North Carolina on Thursday. Highs will reach the lower 80s inland and 70s on the beaches. Gusty southwesterly winds will blow at 10 to 20 mph inland but will gust to 25 mph at times. Coastal communities will see wind gusts to 30 mph or higher. A cold front will approach the area Thursday night and we could see some isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Somewhat cooler conditions can be expected Friday with highs in the 70s.
