Breezy & Cool Across Eastern Carolina On Friday

A strong cold front will sweep off the North Carolina coast by Friday afternoon. Drier and much cooler air will follow the front giving eastern Carolina the coolest air so far in the fall season. Afternoon highs will struggle into the middle to upper 50s despite mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will plummet into the lower 30s across inland communities by Saturday morning bringing widespread frost to most locations west of Highway 17. Temperatures will warm slowly over the weekend with upper 50s Saturday and middle 60s by Sunday afternoon. Both days will feature lots of sunshine and light winds.
