Muggy With A Few Storms

Sunday will be very similar to Saturday with typical August weather in the forecast.

Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s with the heat index in the lower to middle 90s courtesy of the high humidity levels.

As the temperatures warm expect isolated showers and storms to develop especially during the afternoon.

Although most areas will remain dry the areas that do see a thunderstorm will likely experience a brief period of very heavy rainfall and gusty winds.

The severe threat remains low but a few strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out.

The main threats with any severe storm that does form would be wind gusts up to 60 mph, small hail, and torrential downpours.

Any storms that do form will dissipate during the evening with loss of heating.

Our rain chances will go up this week as a front approaches from the northwest and stalls over the area.

Unfortunately this muggy and unsettled weather will likely stick around all week.

Have a great Sunday
