A cold front will push into eastern Carolina on Thursday causing numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some locally heavy rainfall is expected with most locations receiving around 1/2 to 1 inch of rain by evening. The showers will gradually taper off Thursday night followed by drier conditions for Friday and Saturday. Afternoon highs on Thursday will be in the lower to middle 80 then rise to near 90° at the end of the week as we see more sunshine.
