Wilson, Nash, Jones, Onslow and Halifax counties were all placed under tornado warnings at some point Wednesday afternoon.
No damage has been reported, but funnel clouds were reported in Wilson County, near I-95, by law enforcement. A trained spotter reported reported a brief touchdown in a tobacco and soybean field near Lamm Road and Bloomery Road.
In Nash County, fire and rescue reported a tornado touchdown on Highway 97, one half mile west of Interstate 95.
Wayne, Edgecombe, Duplin and Halifax counties were put under urban and small stream flood advisories, but those advisories have expired.
