2008 Spring Almost Warmest On Record

It was another very warm spring across the globe leading more folks to suggest that global warming is continuing. The world average land and sea temperature for spring was 56.7 degrees or 0.94 degree F above the mean for the period since record keeping began in 1880. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration use March, April and May as the official spring months. Excluding ocean temperatures and including only land, temperatures were 1.87 degrees F above the 20th century mean of 46.4 degrees F and tied with 2000 as third warmest.
