PARKERSBURG, Iowa (AP) -- Seven people are now dead from the
devastating tornado that struck northern Iowa on Sunday.
Governor Chet Culver says one of the people hospitalized has
died from injuries.
In Parkersburg, Iowa, which was hardest hit, people are trying
to recover what they can. One 85-year-old man says he and his wife
are trying to save the things precious to them.
A curfew continues in Parkersburg. Governor Culver says he wants
to be respectful of the families trying to assess damage to their
homes. He also announced federal and state disaster declarations
for the region.
Culver says a total of 350 homes were destroyed by the twister,
